To collect your Tesco Clubcard points, you must:
- Be a new or existing OVO customer on any pay-monthly plan. If you’re not an OVO customer yet, start your switch here. This offer is not available for Pay As You Go customers.
- Have a smart meter. Don't have one? We can install one for you.
- Pay by Direct Debit.
- Have an OVO online account, or the OVO mobile app.
- Have a Tesco Clubcard online account, which you’ll need to link to your OVO account.
- Be at least 18 years old.

Questions and answers
The Tesco Clubcard offer entitles you to 2,500 Clubcard points for being an OVO customer on a fixed or standard variable energy plan.
To get your points, you need to link your Tesco Clubcard to your OVO account and meet all of the other eligibility criteria.
To be eligible for the Tesco Clubcard offer, you need to meet these eligibility criteria:
- Be an OVO customer on a fixed or standard variable plan (not a Pay As You Go plan)
- Have an existing smart meter or a new one installed
- Pay for your OVO energy plan by Direct Debit
- Have your Tesco Clubcard linked to your OVO account

You’ll only be eligible for the Tesco Clubcard offer if you’re on one of OVO’s fixed or standard variable plans.
You won’t be eligible if you’re on one of OVO’s Pay As You Go plans.
If you don't have a smart meter, you can book to have one installed.

You’ll find the app by searching for OVO Energy in the App Store on your iPhone, or Google Play on your Android phone. Simply hit ‘install’. It’s free to download and use.
New customers can link their Tesco Clubcard account during the onboarding journey.
For existing customers, log into your account via the web or app, go to your profile and select ‘Our partners’. Then select the Tesco Clubcard logo to log in with Tesco and connect your account.
Your Tesco Clubcard is made up of 16 to 18 digits. You can find it:
- On the front of your plastic Clubcard
- On your Clubcard key fob
- Under your Clubcard QR code in the Tesco Grocery and Clubcard app
- Underneath the signature strip on the back of your Tesco bank card (if you have one)
New customers
If you meet all of the eligibility criteria straight away, your 2,500 Clubcard points will be credited after 60 days of your supply start date.
Existing customers
Your 2,500 points will be credited after 60 days of clicking the "Activate offer" button. Can't see the button? You'll need to meet the eligibility criteria first.
To check whether your points have been added, go the Clubcard section of the Tesco Groceries and Clubcard app and click on ‘View activity’ in the points section.
You can also click on ‘View transactions’ in the points section of your Clubcard account.

Please ensure that you wait at least 60 days for your points to be added to your Clubcard account.
If you haven’t received your Clubcard points, it could be that you’re not eligible yet. To check your eligibility, log into your OVO account via the web or app, go to the menu, and select ‘Our partners’. You’ll be able to see if your eligibility is pending. This might be because:
- we’re setting up your Direct Debit with your bank or building society
- you don’t have a smart meter installed yet
Once eligible, click the 'Activate Offer' button in your OVO account to claim your points. Check under 'Our partners' in the OVO account menu to activate.
