Tesco Clubcard Offer Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) apply to you if you have signed up to and been accepted to participate in OVO’s Tesco Clubcard offer (the “Offer”). These Terms are separate to OVO’s Core Terms which cover the supply of energy to you and any other terms which may apply to your chosen OVO energy plan.

The Promoter of this Offer is OVO Energy Limited, incorporated in England and Wales under company number 06890795 and whose registered office is at OVO Energy, 1 Rivergate, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6ED (“OVO”, “we”).

1. About this Offer

Eligible customers who link their Tesco Clubcard to their OVO account will receive 2,500 Tesco Clubcard points. The points will be credited to your Clubcard account as set out in section 3 below. The Offer runs from 11th June 2024 to 11th June 2025.

2. Eligibility

2.1 In order to be eligible for this Offer you must :

  • be a new or existing OVO customer on any fixed or standard variable tariff; (this offer is not currently available to Pay As You Go customers);
  • have a smart meter;
  • pay by Direct Debit;
  • have a Tesco Clubcard online account; 
  • have an OVO online account or the OVO mobile app; and
  • link your Tesco Clubcard to your OVO account (must be 18 years or over).
  • Existing customers must ‘Activate offer’ in their OVO account

You won’t be able to receive your Clubcard points unless you meet the Eligibility Criteria.  

3. How to redeem the Offer

3.1 To sign up for the Offer you will need to follow the instructions to link your Clubcard to your OVO account. New customers should follow this link and existing customers should complete the sign up process via their online account.

3.2 Once you have linked your Clubcard, your Clubcard points will be credited to your Tesco Clubcard account after 60 days of your supply start date if you are a new customer and after 60 days of you activating the offer if you are an existing customer provided that you have a smart meter installed and otherwise meet the Eligibility Criteria. 

3.3 It is your responsibility to ensure that your Tesco Clubcard is linked to your OVO account and that your Clubcard account details are correct. If your details are incorrect it may result in your points not being awarded or a delay to your points being awarded.

3.4 Only one Tesco Clubcard may be linked to your OVO account. 

3.5 The Offer may only be claimed once per household. If, during the period the Offer is available, you leave OVO and then return you will not be eligible to claim the Offer a second time. 

3.6 The Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or discounts.

3.7 We reserve the right not to award points or to cancel the award of points where fraud is suspected.

3.8 If you switch supplier within the first 60 days of signing up to the Offer then you will not be eligible for the Tesco Clubcard points.

3.9 If you stop meeting any of the Eligibility Criteria, for example you stop paying by Direct Debit, during the 60 days then your reward will be paused and you will have 180 days to become eligible again. Once you are eligible again the 60 day period will continue from where it was prior to you becoming ineligible. 

4. General 

4.1 The Offer is non-exchangeable and non-transferable. No cash or other alternative is available save as otherwise stated in these Terms. Clubcard points must be redeemed in accordance with the Tesco Clubcard Terms. Any queries around  the awarding or use of your Clubcard points should be directed to Tesco.

4.2 We reserve the right to change, withdraw or temporarily suspend the Offer or vary the amount of the points awarded.

4.3 If we deem in our discretion that you are not eligible for this Offer for any reason or have otherwise not complied with these Terms we reserve the right to cancel the Offer and your Clubcard points will be cancelled.

4.4 We reserve the right to amend these offer terms on reasonable notice. Updated terms can be found on our website.  

4.5 In the event that for reasons beyond our reasonable control we are unable to award the discount, or we deem it appropriate to do so (in our reasonable discretion), we reserve the right to award an alternative of a similar nature and an equivalent value, or at our sole discretion, the cash value of the Offer.

4.6 These Terms are subject to English Law and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England unless you’re a resident of Scotland, in which case you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
