VWG Charge Anytime 10,000 Free Miles Offer Terms

These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) relate to the VWG Charge Anytime Offer (the “Free Miles Offer”) and are supplemental to OVO’s Core Terms which cover the supply of energy to you, and the Charge Anytime terms which cover our Charge Anytime product. Together these terms along with any other terms which may form part of your plan with us form your agreement with us.

In these Terms:

“Cooling Off Period” means the period which ends 14 days from the day after the date that your contract is agreed during which you can change your mind and cancel your contract;

“Dealership” means a participating VWG affiliated dealership;

“OVO”, “we” “us” is OVO Energy Limited, incorporated in England and Wales under company number 06890795 and whose registered office is at OVO Energy, 1 Rivergate, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6ED, the Promoter of this Free Miles Offer;

“Relevant Offer Period” means the period during which the Offer is available as made known to you by the Dealership, VWG or OVO;

“VWG” is Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 514809 trading as Volkswagen Passenger Cars UK, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles UK, SEAT UK, CUPRA UK, Škoda UK and Audi UK, whose registered address is at Yeomans Drive, Blakelands, Milton Keynes, MK14 5AN; and

“You” is the person who has signed up to the Free Miles Offer.

1. About the Free Miles Offer

1.1 The Free Miles Offer is available to eligible new and existing OVO customers who purchase a brand new fully-electric vehicle from any of the brands listed at section 2 below (“Eligible EV”) during a Relevant Offer Period and add Charge Anytime to their account for use with that vehicle. Up to 10,000 free miles of electric driving is then paid as a credit to your energy account within 60 days of you signing up for the Free Miles Offer and adding Charge Anytime. The credit will be paid as a sum in pounds sterling added to your account and may equate to less than 10,000 miles driving in real life depending on the efficiency of your selected vehicle, the configuration, driving style and other variable factors. See credit calculations in 3.4 below.

1.2 Anniversary free miles: If you remain signed up to Charge Anytime, then on the anniversary date of your sign-up to Charge Anytime, for a maximum of 3 years, we will credit your OVO account with up to 1,000 free miles of electric driving. The credit will be applied to your account within 30 days of each anniversary of the date you signed up to Charge Anytime. The credit will be paid as a sum in pounds sterling added to your account and may equate to less than 1,000 miles driving in real life depending on the efficiency of your selected vehicle, the configuration, driving style and other variable factors. See credit calculation assumptions in 3.4 below.

1.3 Relevant Offer Period: Please note that Relevant Offer Periods may vary depending on the Dealership or VWG brand you purchase your vehicle from.

2. Eligibility

2.1 You will only be eligible for this Free Miles Offer if:

you purchase a new Eligible EV from one of the following brands:
- Volkswagen Passenger Cars UK
- Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles UK
- SEAT UK
- CUPRA UK
- Škoda UK
- Audi UK
the vehicle is purchased at a participating Dealership during a Relevant Offer Period.
you are either an existing OVO customer or you sign up to OVO before claiming the Free Miles Offer and remain on supply with OVO after your Cooling Off Period;
you activate Charge Anytime subject to you meeting the eligibility criteria set out in the Charge Anytime terms (you will need a compatible EV or charger, for a list of compatible chargers and EVs please see here);
your electricity is supplied for domestic use only. This Free Miles Offer is not available where your energy supply is used for business purposes;
the property where you will charge your EV is located in the UK (excluding Northern Ireland);
your vehicle is for domestic use only (including fleet cars where they are charged at home).
you continue to comply with these Terms, the Core Terms and the Charge Anytime Terms;
you charge your EV at home and in accordance with the fair usage policy (see more below).

2.2 If you do not meet the eligibility criteria in paragraph 2.1 above, you will not be eligible for the Free Miles Offer, but your energy supply contract will be unaffected. See our Core Terms for your rights to cancel your energy supply contract should you wish to do so. Please note that termination fees may apply.

2.3 You may only redeem this Free Miles Offer once per Eligible EV. If you cancel Charge Anytime and sign up again you will no longer be eligible for this Free Miles Offer.

3. How to redeem the Free Miles Offer and your free miles credit

Claiming your free miles

3.1 To take advantage of this Free Miles Offer you must enter the order number given to you by VWG when you purchased the vehicle (your “Order Number”) when signing up to Charge Anytime. If your order number corresponds to an eligible vehicle, we will apply your credit within 60 days of you adding Charge Anytime. Please note, you will be able to use Charge Anytime immediately after signing up, even if we have not yet validated and activated the Free Miles Offer yet. If you forget to add your Order Number when you add Charge Anytime, you will have to contact us by emailing [email protected] in order for your credit to be applied.

3.2 If you are adding a second vehicle to your existing Charge Anytime account, and it is an Eligible EV for this Free Miles Offer, you will need to email [email protected] with your Order Number to claim your free miles.

Free miles credit

3.3 For the part of the Free Miles Offer providing up to 10,000 free miles, you will receive a one-off credit of £212.12 to your OVO account. £212.12 equates to 3030 kWhs at our current Charge Anytime rate of 7p per kWh, which is up to approximately 10,000 free miles of electric driving at a vehicle efficiency of 3.3 miles per kWh. The credit will be paid as a sum in pounds sterling added to your account and may equate to less than 10,000 miles driving in real life depending on the efficiency of your selected vehicle, the configuration, driving style and other variable factors.

For the part of the Free Miles Offer providing anniversary free miles, you will receive a one off credit of £21.21 within 30 days of each anniversary of the date you signed up to Charge Anytime. The credit will be paid as a sum in pounds sterling added to your account and may equate to less than 1,000 miles driving in real life depending on the efficiency of your selected vehicle, the configuration, driving style and other variable factors. .

3.4 The mileage calculations are based on an average efficiency, weighted in line with brand Electric Vehicle volumes, of 3.3 miles per kWh across the Volkswagen Group model range (for all brands). Since this is an average, the efficiency of individual models may be less, which would mean you receive fewer than the maximum stated free miles.

The efficiency figure is also based on standardised test data after the battery had been fully charged (to 100%) and may not reflect real world driving. Actual efficiency differs depending on multiple variables, including your selected vehicle and configuration, accessories fitted (post-registration), variations in weather, driving styles, route conditions, speed, vehicle age, battery age and temperature and vehicle load.

The actual number of free miles you receive may be less than the maximum stated miles and will depend on the actual efficiency of your selected vehicle in the real world.

Free Miles Offer is for an estimated number of free miles calculated on the basis of the costs to the customer when they ‘smart charge’ using Charge Anytime.

4. Fair usage policy

You agree to comply at all times with the Charge Anytime Terms and agree that you will principally charge your EV at the address registered on your OVO Energy account. If OVO reasonably suspects you're not acting in accordance with this policy, we reserve the right to remove the Free Miles Offer and Charge Anytime, having attempted to contact you first.

5. Leaving OVO or cancelling Charge Anytime

5.1 If you want to switch to a different supplier or cancel Charge Anytime, you will no longer be eligible to claim the Free Miles Offer. If you switch supplier, you may need to pay any exit fees associated with your plan. See our Core Terms for your rights to cancel your energy supply contract.

6. Where we can end or suspend this Free Miles Offer

6.1 We reserve the right to remove or temporarily suspend the Free Miles Offer if, in our reasonable opinion, we suspect any breach of these rules, the Charge Anytime terms or our Core Terms.

6.2 If we deem in our discretion that a participant is ineligible for any reason, we reserve the right to cancel or recover any credit already awarded.

6.3 We reserve the right to amend the Free Miles Offer or withdraw the Free Miles Offer to new participants at any time.

6.4 In the event that for reasons beyond our reasonable control we are unable to award the offer, or we deem it appropriate to do so (in its reasonable discretion), we reserve the right to award an alternative of a similar nature and an equivalent value, or at our sole discretion, the cash value of the offer.

7. Changes to these Terms

7.1 We reserve the right to amend these offer terms on reasonable notice. Any amendments will be published on OVO's website.

8. General

Free Miles Offer is subject to availability and cannot be claimed retrospectively against purchases of Eligible EVs made prior to the Relevant Offer Period.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are subject to the laws of England and Wales and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England unless you’re a resident of Scotland, in which case you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.

The VWG Enhanced Beyond Bank EV Miles Offer

These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) relate to the VWG Enhanced Beyond Bank EV Miles Offer (the “VWG Beyond Offer”) and are supplemental to OVO’s Core Terms which cover the supply of energy to you, the Charge Anytime terms which cover our Charge Anytime product, the OVO App user Terms And Conditions which cover usage of the OVO app, and the OVO Beyond Offer Terms and Conditions which cover the My Beyond Offers including “EV Saver”. Together these terms along with any other terms which may form part of your plan with us form your agreement with us.

In these Terms:

“Cooling Off Period” means the period which ends 14 days from the day after the date that your contract is agreed during which you can change your mind and cancel your contract;

“You” is the person who has signed up to the VWG Beyond Offer.

1. About this VWG Beyond Offer

1.1 The VWG Beyond Offer is available to eligible new and existing OVO customers on any OVO plan who sign up to OVO Beyond and the Beyond EV Saver Offer to bank free EV miles prior to purchasing a new fully electric vehicle. To redeem the banked free miles under this VWG Beyond Offer, customers must purchase a new fully electric vehicle and then sign up to Charge Anytime where they can redeem their free miles.

1.2 Free miles banked will be added to your account and viewable in the OVO App, will be credited as a sum in pounds sterling added to your account and may equate to less than the stated miles driving in real life depending on the efficiency of your selected vehicle, the configuration, driving style and other variable factors.

1.3 Customers who have purchased a brand new fully-electric vehicle from any of the brands listed at section 2 below (“Eligible EV”) from 1st July 2024 will be eligible to earn a credit corresponding to up to an additional 50 miles for every 100 miles they have banked through Beyond during their accrual period (“Enhanced Miles”). For example, if a customer has banked the maximum possible miles (up to 2,400) during the 24 month accrual period, customers who purchase an Eligible EV will receive a credit corresponding to up to an additional 1,200 miles when they sign up to Charge Anytime and redeem their miles. . The credit will be paid as a sum in pounds sterling added to your account within 90 days of redeeming their mileage by signing up to Charge Anytime and may equate to less than the stated miles driving in real life depending on the efficiency of your selected vehicle, the configuration, driving style and other variable factors. The amount of credit you receive will also vary depending on how many free miles you have banked and the current Charge Anytime rate at the time you redeem your free miles up to a maximum redemption value of 14p/kWh.

1.4 This VWG Beyond Offer may only be redeemed once per household.

2. Eligibility

2.1 You will only be eligible for this VWG Beyond Offer if:

you download the OVO App. Compatible smartphone is required;
you sign up to OVO Beyond and the standard EV Saver Offer and bank miles through EV Saver in the OVO App;
you purchase a new Eligible EV from one of the following brands:
- Volkswagen Passenger Cars UK
- Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles UK
- SEAT UK
- CUPRA UK
- Škoda UK
- Audi UK
the Eligible EV is purchased at a participating Dealership from 1st July 2024 until such time as the EV Saver Offer is withdrawn;
you are either an existing OVO customer or you sign up to OVO before claiming the VWG Beyond Offer and remain on supply with OVO after your Cooling Off Period;
you activate Charge Anytime subject to you meeting the eligibility criteria set out in the Charge Anytime terms (you will need a compatible EV or charger, for a list of compatible chargers and EVs please see here);
your electricity is supplied for domestic use only. This VWG EV Saver Offer is not available where your energy supply is used for business purposes;
the property where you will charge your EV is located in the UK (excluding Northern Ireland);
you continue to comply with these Terms, the Beyond Terms, the Core Terms and the Charge Anytime Terms;
you charge your EV at home and in accordance with the fair usage policy (see more below).

2.2 If you do not meet the eligibility criteria in paragraph 2.1 above, you will not be eligible for the VWG Beyond Offer, but your energy supply contract will be unaffected. 3. How to redeem the VWG BeyondOffer and your free miles credit

Redeeming your free miles

3.1 The VWG Beyond Offer is automatically redeemed when you sign up to Charge Anytime with an Eligible EV and take up the VWG Charge Anytime Offer by giving us the order number given to you by VWG when you purchased the vehicle (your “Order Number”). If your Order Number corresponds to an eligible vehicle, your enhanced miles will be applied to your account as a credit within 90 days. Note, the standard EV Saver miles and the Enhanced Miles may appear as two separate credits in your account.

3.2 You are able to bank up to a maximum of 150 free miles a month or up to a maximum of 3,600 miles over 24 months. Your banked mileage will be shown in the OVO App at the standard 100 free miles. The additional 50 miles per month will be applied at the point of you claiming this offer. The miles must be redeemed within three (3) years from the end of the 24 month accrual period. Once expired, the banked mileage will be lost.

3.3 The amount of credit you receive will vary depending on how many free miles you have banked and the current Charge Anytime rate at the time you redeem your free miles up to a maximum redemption value of 14p/kWh. Free miles "banked" will be credited as a sum in pounds sterling added to your account and may equate to less than the stated miles driving in real life depending on the efficiency of your selected vehicle, the configuration, driving style and other variable factors.

3.4 Up to 150 free miles a month or up to 3,600 free miles over 24 months is calculated based on an average efficiency weighted in line with brand Electric Vehicle volumes, of 3.3 miles per kWh across the Volkswagen Group model range (for all brands). Since this is an average, the efficiency of individual models may be less, which would mean you receive fewer than the maximum stated free miles.

The actual number of free miles you receive may be less than the maximum 150 free miles a month or 3,600 free miles over 24 months and will depend on the actual efficiency of your selected vehicle in the real world. VWG Beyond Offer is for an estimated number of free miles calculated on the basis of the costs to the customer when they ‘smart charge’ using Charge Anytime.

3.5 As specified in 3.1, the standard EV Saver miles and the Enhanced Miles may appear as two separate credits in your account. If this happens, the first credit for the standard EV Saver miles will be calculated at our standard EV Saver rate, which assumes that the average electric vehicle will require 1 kWh of charge for a distance of 4 miles (as opposed to 3.3 miles which is is the average efficiency, weighted in line with EV brand volumes across the Volkswagen Group model range (for all brands)). If this occurs, your second credit for the Enhanced Miles will include an adjustment to cover this difference.

4. Fair usage policy

You agree to comply at all times with the Charge Anytime Terms and agree to comply with the Charge Anytime fair usage policy including that you will principally charge your EV at the address registered on your OVO Energy account. If OVO reasonably suspects you're not acting in accordance with this policy, we reserve the right to remove the Free Miles Offer and Charge Anytime, having attempted to contact you first.
