Volvo Charge Anytime Offer Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) relate to the Volvo Charge Anytime Offer (the “Offer”) and are supplemental to OVO’s Core Terms which cover the supply of energy to you and the Charge Anytime terms which cover our Charge Anytime product. Together these terms along with any other terms which may form part of your plan with us form your agreement with us.
In these Terms:
“OVO”, “we” is OVO Energy Limited, incorporated in England and Wales under company number 06890795 and whose registered office is at OVO Energy, 1 Rivergate, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6ED, the Promoter of this Offer;
“Cooling Off Period” means the period which ends 14 days from the day after the date that your contract is agreed during which you can change your mind and cancel your contract;
“Volvo” is Volvo Cars UK Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 02281044 whose registered address is at Scandinavia House, Norreys Drive, Maidenhead SL6 4FL; and
“You” is the person who has signed up to the Offer.
1. About this Offer
1.1 The Volvo Charge Anytime Offer is available to new and existing OVO customers on any OVO plan who add Charge Anytime to their energy plan and have one of the eligible Volvo electric vehicles listed in section 2 below (“Eligible EV”). You will receive a one-off credit of £50 to your OVO account. £50 equates to 714 kWhs at our Charge Anytime rate of 7p per kWh, which is approximately 2,700 free miles of electric driving for customers charging a Volvo EC40 Single Motor Extended Range which drives 3.8 miles per kWh (actual sum 2,714 miles based on WLTP). Actual free miles obtained will depend on your vehicle model, driving style, the weather conditions and your car’s efficiency. The credit will be applied to your account within 30 days of you claiming your offer and linking your accounts. The Offer will run from 30th September 2024.
1.2 To take advantage of this Offer you must enter a promotional code when you add Charge Anytime to your OVO account. You must then link your Volvo ID and OVO account in the Volvo Cars App. You will then be able to use Charge Anytime in the Volvo Cars App. Please note that you won’t be able to activate the Offer without linking your Volvo and OVO accounts. An exception to this is if you are a customer with an Eligible EV that has solar-panels and are connecting to Charge Anytime through your solar compatible charger. In this situation, you will still need to enter a promotional code when you add Charge Anytime, but you will not use Charge Anytime through the Volvo Cars App and account linking is not necessary to activate the Offer.
1.3 If you forget to add your promotional code when you add Charge Anytime, you will have to contact us by emailing [email protected] in order for your credit to be applied.
2. Eligibility
2.1 This Offer is only open to you if:
- you have one of the following fully-electric Eligible EVs:
- a Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric
- a Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric
- a Volvo EC40
- a Volvo EX40

you are either an existing OVO customer or you sign up to OVO before claiming the Offer and remain on supply with OVO after your Cooling Off Period;

you add Charge Anytime subject to you meeting the eligibility criteria set out in the Charge Anytime terms;

you are a new Charge Anytime customer, existing Charge Anytime customers are not eligible for this Offer;

your electricity is supplied for domestic use only. This Offer is not available where your energy supply is used for business purposes;

the property where you will charge your EV is located in the UK (excluding Northern Ireland);

you continue to comply with these Terms, the Core Terms and the Charge Anytime Terms;

you charge your EV at home and in accordance with the fair usage policy (see more below).
2.2 If you do not meet the eligibility criteria in paragraph 2.1 above, you will not be eligible for the Offer, but your energy supply contract will be unaffected. See our Core Terms for your rights to cancel your energy supply contract should you wish to do so. Please note that termination fees may apply.
3. Fair usage policy
You agree to comply with the Charge Anytime fair usage policy including that you will principally charge your EV at the address registered on your OVO Energy account. If OVO reasonably suspects you're not acting in accordance with this policy, we reserve the right to remove the offer, having attempted to contact you first.
5. Leaving OVO or cancelling Charge Anytime
5.1 If you want to switch to a different supplier or cancel Charge Anytime, you will no longer be eligible to claim the Offer. If you switch supplier, you may need to pay any exit fees associated with your plan. See our Core Terms for your rights to cancel your energy supply contract.
6. Where we can end or suspend this Offer
6.1 We reserve the right to remove or temporarily suspend the Offer if, in our reasonable opinion, we suspect any breach of these rules, the Charge Anytime terms or our Core Terms.
6.2 If we deem in our discretion that a participant is ineligible for any reason, we reserve the right to cancel or recover any credit already awarded.
6.3 We reserve the right to withdraw or amend the Offer to new participants at any point.
6.4 In the event that for reasons beyond our reasonable control we are unable to award the offer, or we deem it appropriate to do so (in its reasonable discretion), we reserve the right to award an alternative of a similar nature and an equivalent value, or at our sole discretion, the cash value of the offer.
7. Changes to these Terms
7.1 We reserve the right to amend the Offer and these Terms on reasonable notice. Any amendments will be published on OVO's website or if any changes are made which are detrimental to you we will give you reasonable notice.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are subject to English Law and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England unless you’re a resident of Scotland, in which case you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
