The app is compatible with both iOS and Android devices. And this upgraded version gives users tailored insights into their home energy use, energy-saving advice, and exclusive offers on selected products and services.
Eligible customers can go Beyond straight away. New customers will get access 90 days from their energy supply start date.
Customers who are in the process of leaving OVO, or have recently let us know they’re switching suppliers, won’t be able to unlock Beyond.
No, you won’t be charged to join or use Beyond, or to download the app. It’s completely free for OVO customers.
To go Beyond, you’ll need to:

So long as you have the outdoor space for one, the answer is yes. Heat pumps work like a dream in well-sealed, energy-efficient homes that retain their heat for a long time.
If you have a draughty home, it’s a good idea to insulate it properly first. That way, you’ll keep all that lovely heat inside – making the switch to a heat pump more cost effective.
It depends on the size of your home, how much heat you need, and the type of heat pump you choose.
A straightforward air source heat pump installation in a 3-bed house usually takes around 4-5 days, with 3 engineers on site. You might be without heating and hot water for 1 or 2 of those days.
You’ll need to:
- Be an OVO customer
- Have a smart meter that sends us half-hourly readings
- Have a compatible heat pump, or have bought your heat pump through our partner Heat Geek. Heat Pump Plus is currently compatible with: Connected Vaillant aroTHERM 3 or aroTHERM Plus heat pumps, from 2016 onwards. Connected Viessmann Vitocal 150-A or 151-A air source heat pumps. Mitsubishi Electric Ecodan heat pumps from 2015 onwards connected to a MELCloud account with a wifi control adapter.

1 Bank one month of free heat for every 2 months you are with OVO up to a maximum of 12 months' free heat with a maximum redemption value of £341.52 to be redeemed as a monthly credit to your bill of £28.46 when you purchase a heat pump from OVO. One month's free heat valued at £28.46, values given are based on customer having Heat Pump Plus tariff, please refer to terms for calculations. Actual savings may vary depending on efficiency of heat pump and tariff and heating usage. Terms and eligibility criteria apply.
2 The free boiler service offer is only available to new customers only. Not available for existing CORGI HomePlan, OVO HomePlan and OVO Energy boiler cover customers. Eligibility criteria, terms and exclusions apply. This plan automatically renews at the end of 12 months unless cancelled at the standard price for new sales. Offer can only be redeemed once per household.

In order to achieve full £1,104 saving, customers would have to purchase/subscribe to all currently available products and offers.
4 View our full terms and conditions. An independent study has shown that installing and correctly using a tado° smart thermostat could reduce your energy use from heating by up to 28%. The study found that the tado° device could save you up to 23% by turning the temperature down when nobody is at home. You could also save another 6% by turning down the heating based on the weather forecast, depending on the window sizes. If the window surfaces are relatively large, the energy saving will increase. Actual energy savings depend on various factors e.g. your heating system, structural condition of your home and your heating behaviour. Financial savings depend on the price of your energy tariff. With its Energy IQ skill, tado° provides an estimate of the monthly heating cost and the energy savings delivered through tado°.

Annual saving of £375 based on the following comparison: a G-rated gas boiler running at 70% efficiency with an average annual consumption of 10,436 kWh at 6.24p per kWh, used for heating and hot water, versus an air source heat pump with a Seasonal Coefficient of Performance (or efficiency rating) of 4 and an annual consumption of 1826 kWh at 15p/kWh with the Heat Pump Plus add-on.
