Terms and conditions
T&Cs for the 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover bundle.
These terms and conditions (Terms) apply if you’ve chosen, and we’ve agreed to supply you, on our 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover plan. Words and phrases which have a special meaning are explained where the word or phrase is first used.
These Terms are supplemental to, and do not replace, our Core Energy Supply Terms and Conditions (Core Terms) and our Boiler Cover Terms (as defined below).
In the event of any conflict between these Terms, the Core Terms or Boiler Cover Terms, these Terms will take precedence. Any terms defined in the Core Terms will have the same meaning when used in these Terms.
Your 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover energy supply and your OVO Energy boiler cover are provided to you under separate contracts .
Your energy supply is covered by the Core Terms and these Terms.
Your boiler cover is governed by the terms and conditions contained in your OVO Energy Boiler Cover Terms and Conditions Booklet (Boiler Cover Terms).
Your energy supply
Your energy supply for 1 Year Fix + Boiler Cover is provided by OVO Electricity Limited (when we’re selling you electricity) and OVO Gas Limited (when we’re selling you gas). Our address is 1 Rivergate, Temple Quay, Bristol, BS1 6ED. These are the companies that supply energy to your property.
Your boiler cover
Your OVO Energy boiler cover is arranged and administered by OVO Energy, a trading name of CORGI HomePlan Ltd, a firm authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under firm reference number 824122 to carry on insurance distribution. CORGI HomePlan Ltd is registered in Scotland (Company No. SC358475). Registered Office: Cadworks, 41 West Campbell Street, Glasgow, G2 6SE.
The insurance policy is underwritten by OVO Insurance Services Ltd, a firm authorised and regulated by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission under reference number 2570126. OVO Insurance Services Ltd is registered in the Bailiwick of Guernsey under the Companies (Guernsey) Law 2008 (Company No. 67013). Registered office: PO Box 155, Mill Court, La Charroterie, St Peter Port, Guernsey, GY1 4ET.
OVO Energy Ltd, CORGI HomePlan Ltd and OVO Insurance Services Ltd are part of OVO Group Ltd.
1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover is a bundle we offer which includes OVO's 1 Year Fixed energy tariff at a discounted rate provided you sign up to a 1 year contract of any OVO Energy boiler cover, which includes an annual boiler service.
You will pay the standard full price (subject to any available promotion at the time of purchase) of your chosen boiler cover product (boiler cover products are subject to availability).
You won't be able to make a claim on your OVO boiler cover for the first 30 days from the start date of your OVO boiler cover.

3.1 The 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover plan is available to new and existing OVO energy customers who meet certain criteria. In order to be eligible for 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover:

You must be a Dual Fuel customer and pay for your 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover energy supply and OVO Energy boiler cover by monthly Direct Debit;

Both the 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover energy supply and the OVO Energy boiler cover will need to be in the name(s) of the same account holder(s) and for the same address;

You must meet the eligibility criteria for OVO’s 1 Year Fixed tariff;

You must be eligible for OVO Energy boiler cover in order to be eligible for the bundle. OVO Energy boiler cover eligibility criteria includes boiler condition, age, make and model, mains gas boilers only, mainland UK. Cover is not available to landlords or tenants. You must own and live in the home. Eligibility will be determined during your application.

If you are not eligible, no cash alternative applies.

You must sign up via our online digital journey only.
3.2 If you currently have any OVO boiler cover product, you will still be eligible to sign up to 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover, however you may need to pay a termination fee to end your existing contract prior to signing up. Please check your policy. Cancellation fees may apply. Please check your OVO Energy Boiler Cover Terms and Conditions Booklet.
3.3 You must apply for both the 1 Year Fixed tariff and boiler cover in one application in order to get the discount. If you apply for OVO’s 1 Year Fixed tariff and then add boiler cover separately later on (or vice versa), you will not be eligible.
4.1 In order to be eligible for 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover you must successfully complete the sign up process for both 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover energy plan and OVO boiler cover. In the event that you are not eligible for OVO boiler cover after applying for 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover we reserve the right to move you on to our Standard Variable Tariff which may mean that you will pay more for your energy.
4.2 With your 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover energy tariff, the price you pay for the supply of your electricity and/or gas will be fixed for a period of 12 months commencing on your Tariff Start Date. Your Tariff Start Date will be the date that you apply to be supplied by us on the 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover plan or the data that your electricity and/or gas supply transfers to the 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover plan from your existing OVO energy tariff. We will notify you of this date in your welcome letter.
4.3 Where you take both your gas and electricity supply from us, then the Energy Tariff Start Date will be the earlier of the 2 transfer dates. This may mean you will not receive the full 12 month fixed term on the later transferred electricity or gas.
4.4 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover also includes OVO Energy boiler cover, a 12 month insurance contract. Exclusions and cancellation charges apply to your policy so please make sure you read your Boiler Cover Terms carefully. You won’t be able to make a claim on your OVO Energy boiler cover for the first 30 days from the start date of your boiler cover. Further information on this is detailed in your OVO Energy Boiler Cover Policy Booklet.
4.5 Please note that your Fixed Plan End Date and your boiler cover end date may not align depending on when your boiler cover or energy plan starts from, meaning your boiler cover may still be running when your fixed energy tariff ends or your fixed energy tariff may still be running when your boiler cover ends.
By signing up to this plan, you’re agreeing to have a smart meter fitted (if you don’t already have one). We’ll contact you to arrange a suitable installation date for a smart meter to be installed in your property.
6.1 Separate Direct Debit instructions will be set up for your energy supply and your OVO Energy boiler cover policy.
6.2 The Direct Debit details supplied will be used to renew the OVO Energy boiler cover at the expiry of the 12-month term unless you have opted out of auto-renew, or if the policy has been cancelled.
7.1 Your plan will end 12 months after your Plan Start Date (Fixed Plan End Date). From this date, unless you have asked us to put you on a new energy plan:

we’ll automatically transfer you to the cheapest variable energy plan available for your meter type, estimated annual consumption and payment method; and
-
you might pay higher unit prices and standing charges on a variable energy plan and these could change at any time;
7.2 We will write to you no later than 30 days before your Fixed Plan End Date to remind you of this and advise you of our cheapest tariff at this time based on your estimated annual consumption and your chosen payment method.
7.3 If, within 20 working days of the end of your fixed energy plan, you:

decide to leave us and your new supplier notifies us that you’re switching and that switch takes place within a reasonable period; or
-
you enter into a new energy plan with us
then we’ll keep your charges the same until you switch to your new supplier or start your new energy plan.
At the end of your OVO Energy boiler cover
7.4 We will write to you at least 14 days before your OVO Energy boiler cover contract is due for renewal. Your OVO Energy boiler cover product will renew automatically, unless you have opted out of auto renewal, and premiums will be collected using the Direct Debit details that you give us when buying this tariff.
Your energy plan
If you joined OVO 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover before 4 September 2024
8.1 If you change your supplier or plan for electricity or gas, or both, before the Fixed End Date, we may apply an exit fee of £75 for each fuel (Early Exit Fee).
See clause 10.4 of the Core Terms for more information on when this Early Exit Fee may be charged.
If you joined OVO 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover on or after 4 September 2024
8.2 If you change your supplier or plan for electricity or gas, or both, before the Fixed End Date, we may apply an exit fee of £50 for each fuel (Early Exit Fee). See clause 10.4 of the Core Terms for more information on when this Early Exit Fee may be charged.
8.3 You agree to pay any such Early Exit Fee and agree to us taking this fee by Direct Debit.
8.4 If you cancel your 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover energy plan early, your OVO Energy boiler cover will continue and you’ll need to cancel this separately, if you want to do so.
Your boiler cover
8.5 If you cancel your OVO Energy boiler cover plan, you won’t be eligible for 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover. We reserve the right to move you onto our Standard Variable Tariff which could mean that you pay more for your energy.

8.7 If you move home during your 12 month plan term, your OVO Energy boiler cover plan will end, even if you continue to be an OVO customer at your new property.

9.1 OVO Energy boiler cover and 1 Year Fixed + Boiler Cover energy supply are available separately (but the energy supply is not available at a discounted rate).
9.2 This tariff is subject to availability. We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw the bundle at any time.
9.3 We reserve the right to make changes to these Terms at any time. If we make any changes which are to your detriment we will give you reasonable notice so that you can take action to avoid the change.
9.4 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales if your property is in England or Wales, and the laws of Scotland if your property is in Scotland.
